Julia & Jacob

Julia & Jacob are some good friends of mine from the USF Baptist Collegiate Ministry where I lead worship. They're both in love with God and their lives are a testament to that love. They're such a cute couple that I asked them if they could model for me. They did a wonderful job too!

Elizabeth Acosta

Liz is one of my favorite cousins. She can always make you laugh, and make your day brighter.  She's an skilled artist and designer and apparently a natural model. This shoot only took about 15 minutes thanks to her outgoing personality!

Mandy Nicole

In an earlier post I talked about how the work of some newer photographers inspired me to restart my own photography. Mandy is one of those. I took some shots of her while she was explaining to me her approach to a portrait session. She has got a great natural eye for composition and is great at interacting with her subject, which reflects on the quality of her stills. You can find her at mandynicolee.com.

Saint Augustine

This was our first "real" vacation as a married couple since the honeymoon. My wife planned a wonderful three day adventure that we are sure to remember forever. I, of course, dragged my feet and complained about food most of the time, but Sara forgave me.

Dan (The Man) Crotts

Dan Crotts is one of the few rare musicians I know who practices for fun. He's a phenomenal drummer with a sonographic memory that far exceeds my own. Time and time again we find ourselves working together leading worship, planting churches, starting bands, etc... He an very loyal friend and lives as a testament to God's love and grace. At the moment he is in the middle of an internship at the BCM where he's getting hands-on training for ministry. I learned a lot from this shoot.

Rebeccah Westol

A while back I got burnt out and ended up taking extended break from photography. After months and months I realized I really missed it, and viewing the work of some starting photographers convinced me to get back into it. I ended up correcting my approach and breaking a lot of bad habits because of it, so it turned out for the best.

I got to know Rebeccah while swing dancing and also at the BCM. I was sick of snapping shots of still life and my cats, and wanted to start doing portraits. So I asked her if she wouldn't mind modeling for me and she kindly obliged. As it turned out she was an Americas Top Model fan and helped me get some amazing shots! She told me she would wear a dress but apparently she was just lying....
